Getting ready to purchase a new 52′ Samsung LCD 650 series, they want $400 for 5 years warranty. If they have to service more than 3 times they replace it etc. Its hard to justify a quarter of the cost of the tv to warranty, any thoughts?
have done some research and pretty much know who sells them with lowest price tag (Dixons online and Digitaldirect), but lacking experience on technical stuff i.e. full HD, resonable sound quality (as far as i’ve heard Viera has on of best sounds), 100Hz, future proof to some extend, etc. I don’t do any gaming, tv and dvd only. Any suggestions on best after sale service, warranty…? thanks in advance 
i ordered a dell studio 15 on the 29th of july. and i was just wondering when i would be expecting it to come to my house - i live in ny. anyways i was just wondering if it would come earlier or later than the ETA that dell gave me which is ship on the 8-7 and arrive the 8-12 to 8-14. thanks for all the help - i cant wait til i get this new laptop because i ordered it in purple my fav. color!!

I cracked the screen of my 2nd Generation Zune (the 80 gb model). I dropped it on pavement and the screen protector suffered cracking, the lcd screen remains unharmed. What can I do to fix this? I assume that the Microsoft Warranty won’t cover it, but I had a Best Buy Extended Warranty and I was wondering if this would cover it. Will it? If not, how/where can I get this fixed and how much will it cost?

On my 46″ LCD Sony television. It’s $500.00 for 4 yrs. Apparently it’s common for problems to occur in these large tv’s.

I spent an extra $213 (including tax) for a 3 year extended warranty from CC. It starts on the day of purchase, so it’s valid for 2 years after the 1 year Sony warranty expires. My questions are:
1) How reliable are Sony Bravia LCD’s? This is for folks who have owned one for many years… have they given you any problems? Did you ever need to use any warranty or get any repair work done on it?
2) What kind of problems can LCD TV’s have? What are the typical costs for repair incase something does happen and I don’t have an extended warranty?
3) Is the Circuit City advantage protection plan (warranty) even worth it or should I return it for a full refund?
I’m really confused as to what I should do. Should I save the $213 or keep the warranty “incase” something happens after 1 year. What are the chances with a brand like Sony?
I just bought a new Samsung LCD TV and I want to buy an extended warranty. However I do not know which warranty is the best to but. That is, which warranty covers more?
I called the navigon company and also the store that i bought it from. But the company said that the warranty doesnt cover a broken screen only water damage. But i dont understand that because the GPS would be in the car so it wouldnt get wet.
So right now im tryin to figure out where i can go and fix it.
I also bought the extended warranty but that didnt help so i jus cancelled that.
i live in the west palm beach area. i need to find a place where i can repair this screen right away because im going to be traveling alot for the next 2 or 3 month.
By the way the Navigon still works its just that i cant use it because the screen is broken so when i touch the screen there is no response.

I used to buy extended warranties but TVs usually break down after my 4 year warranty is expired
