Open Question: Connections: LCD TV, Virgin Box, DVD Recorder….help please?

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Can anyone let me know the connections for the following in simple terms please:
I have a Sharp Aquos LCD TV, a Virgin Box and just purchased a Sony DVD Hard Drive Recorder.
The TV has 2 scart sockets (1 RGB and 1 AV) and 2 HDMI sockets (HDMI and HDMI/Audio)
The box has 2 scarts (1 TV and 1VCR)
The DVD recorder has 2 scarts(line 1 Decoder and Line 3 TV) and also HDMI out.
The Sony handbook seems to be written for an electronics engineer and is totally confusing.
If it helps I would like to utilise the HDMI connection if possible
Your help would be appreciated as I am tying myself and the cables in knots….thanks in advance.
